The history of Web Designs

About 200 sites history illustrate the Internet from its beginnings to the present day - all provided with quotes and explanations that provide valuable insight into the mind of the pixels pioneers, among them Jonathan Gay (Flash), Gabo Mendoza (Gabocorp), Yugo Nakamura (Yugop) Peter Van den Wyngaert (NRG.BE), Joshua Davis (Praystation) and Eric Jordan (2Advanced).

This comprehensive picture Chronicle consists of 21 chapters that introduce and demonstrate how the user experience, usability and technical achievements the development have influenced that the Internet, which we use today, as a matter of course for every year since 1998, the best sites and examples of the hardware used. Facts and figures for each year, unerring Google Insights and smart categories such as "headlines the World Affairs", "movies with the highest grossing", "new software and hardware" or "highest site traffic" have the reader the way through the History.

Some one will occur this collection as a virtual journey into his own recent past, but all generations will find a comprehensive guide as well as evaluating the earliest creative minds who invented the Web once and the changed world we know forever. "

A double page from the band, which indicates that pictures and font size something very unusual small.

For a competent appraisal of all technical background, I lack the necessary experience. But to understand is for me, is that the author has taken great pains of Web Designs understand this story in detail. The chapters for each year beginning with a preface, which describes the most important new features, followed by a chart with relevant facts and figures. In terms of content all - as far as I can tell - fully satisfactory. Rob Ford is a competent professional in the field, which he presented here for many years.

However, I am of the opinion that the band in terms of its design, the usual quality level is not reached, that one is accustomed to publishing of volumes of the bags. Criticism can focus on one point: Everything is too small. On the pictures - screenshots of Web sites - are not visible details. And the text does not interfere with the familiar Anglo-French-German trilingual, but the font size: While the English texts still reasonably well-read, the German (and French) are disturbing tiny. The comprehensive index finally - well, it's there - it does not come without a magnifying glass almost out more. Love Pocket People: The can you better!
