Quote from the petition: No new master constraint for photographers! to the federal government and the members of the German Bundestag: "Later this year, a law reintroducing the master duty to be adopted, inter alia, commercially active photographers. Affected would be as portrait and wedding photographers who work for private clients. For these photographers the reintroduction of the master obligation would represent a significant interference with the freedom of occupation, and also photo journalists and photographers artistically active then should no longer accept such orders. "

If you ask me as a Liberal and "artist himself": I often do not consider many economic restrictions helpful, but I really think it is mischief to provide creative professionals with an admission. Certificates, certificates, bachelor's degree, and so on - all is well as additional references ... But a "master craftsman" should be reserved for professions where it comes to security, life and death, so to speak. Someone who can drive well car, so can not just take off the same times also TÜV just for good reason. But why should not that someone who makes good photos, so that makes money? see for myself the cons of the petition little. In the days of flash powder and analog darkroom I had a master craftsman still viewed as undoubtedly existed dangers beyond the overturning of a large light shaper or dropping the camera to the foot. But today? Might be the master exam for photographers to photograph analog, but still make sense? 😉
